Weronika Grzebalska
Weronika Grzebalska (Poland 2017) is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Graduate School for Social Research, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Her work focuses on militarism, security, nationalism and right-wing politics seen from a gender perspective. Her PhD project explores the recent processes of societal militarization in Central Europe against the background of the broader crisis of neoliberal governmentality. She published a book “Gender of the Warsaw Uprising” which dealt with gender politics of armed resistance in WWII Poland. She researches illiberal politics and neo-conservative mobilizations, publishing popular pieces and commentaries in many journals. She is a board member of the Polish Gender Studies Association and the FEPS Young Academics Network.
